Harry Tyrer, the goalie for Everton, is now undoubtedly going to step up next season after making an impression while on loan at Chesterfield.

The 22-year-old has been crucial to the Spireites’ ascent to what appears to be an insurmountable lead at the top of the National League standings.

With a point against Boreham Wood on Saturday (March 23), they may return to the Football League, where they are now ranked 21 points ahead of second-place Barnet.

Tyrer signed a contract with the Derbyshire club after making an impression while on loan at Chester, a National League North team, where he played 47 games and preserved 18 clean sheets before falling in the playoff semifinals.

He has validated that by recording 11 shutouts in 39 games this season. Paul Cook’s team is known for their expansive style of play, which often aims to outscore the opposition.

During an October interview on the Everton website, the Chesterfield manager discussed Tyrer’s influence at the team and commended him for his ability to stop shots
