A possible strong special teams player has joined Washington.
The Commanders have decided to sign cornerback James Pierre, according to Josina Anderson of CBS Sports.
Pierre played in at least 16 games in each of the previous four seasons after joining the Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2020. In 16 appearances in 2023, Pierre totaled eight tackles. Two percent of Pittsburgh’s defensive snaps and sixty percent of their special teams snaps were spent with him on the field.
