In an effort to increase their chances of landing free agency Mike Williams, a wide receiver from the Los Angeles Chargers, the Pittsburgh Steelers have set up a visit with him. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Williams will make stops this week at the Steelers, Carolina Panthers, and New York Jets.

Williams, 29, was previously selected in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has 31 touchdowns and 4,806 yards from 309 receptions in his seven years with the Chargers. Since joining the league, he has two seasons with 1,000 yards or more in the books. Prior to sustaining an ACL tear in just three games during the previous campaign, Williams caught 19 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown. Van Jefferson, a former wide receiver with the Los Angeles Rams, just joined with the Steelers, joining George Pickens and Calvin Austin in a group of players who were active roster players the previous year. After spending a significant amount of time talking with prospects at the NFL Combine, the team is also anticipated to choose a wide receiver.
