Paul Robinson reacted to a development between Leeds United and Sky Sports by saying that the “power” that occurs when people come together behind a shared cause is “incredible.”

On February 18, Phil Hay, a reporter for The Athletic, reported that a broadcaster employee had questioned a Leeds staffer about how to foster goodwill among the team’s supporters.

The number of Leeds games that have been rescheduled so that Sky can televise their matches has angered fans more and more.

Both Leeds’ 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on March 8 and Sunday’s matchup at Elland Road against Millwall on March 17 were televised live on Sky.

Pundit Robinson, who works for Sky, says he understands both sides and that because the company invests a lot of money in the game, it is free to choose which matches to air. However, he also argues that fans have the right to express their disapproval if they feel mistreated.

Sky Sports is the target of valid complaints from Leeds United supporters.
This is a rather fair and well-balanced piece by Robinson, and you should definitely consider both sides of the argument because it’s not a black-and-white one.

Leeds supporters are justified in voicing their complaints because they frequently have to cope with games being rescheduled at the last minute, which is a real inconvenience when you may have planned travel and lodging.
