Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, has provided a positive update on Reo Hatate’s recuperation, indicating that the midfield player might play again for the team against Livingston before the pivotal Rangers match.

Reo Hatate

Hatate has only made 13 appearances for the Hoops this season due to an injury he sustained while playing for Japan in the Asian Cup. He has been out since the beginning of January and has also had injury problems in the first half of the season.

As Celtic prepares for the pivotal moments of the season, Rodgers’ optimism over Hatate’s recuperation is a ray of hope.

“Yes, Reo is making good progress,” Rodgers stated to the Daily Record.

We’re expecting that he’ll be with the squad following the international break because he’s currently working out on the field. He will be available following the international break, when he will be working with the group. After the break, it’s more about searching for the Livingston game.

“After the international break, we’ve got a big game then. Just having the availability of that level of player, the dynamism he has, clearly it’s something that we’ve missed. So to have him back will be great.”

The timing of return could not be more critical, with Celtic preparing for the high-stakes derby against Rangers following the international break.

Hopefully, hatets s integration back into the squad goes as planned, and Celtic can have a quality player back on the pitch, especially if the Hoops are going to be without their captain.
