SALT LAKE CITY: Taevion Kinsey, a winger with the Salt Lake City Stars, is allegedly going to sign a 10-day deal with the Utah Jazz.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania broke the story on social media.
“His agent Scott Nichols informs @TheAthletic @Stadium that the Utah Jazz are signing guard Taevion Kinsey to a 10-day deal out of their NBA G League affiliate Salt Lake City Stars,” Charania said. “Kinsey has shot 46.8% from three this season and averaged 14.8 points per game for the Stars.”
Taevion Kinsey, who has played for the Jazz G League club this season in 25 games, averages 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 29 minutes per game. The Jazz have signed Kinsey.
With exceptional athleticism, Kinsey, who stands 6-foot-5, is shooting 56% from the field, 47% from three, and 84% from the free-throw line.
In August, Kinsey signed an exhibit-10 contract with the Jazz; however, the Stars signed him right away once it was waived.
The Marshall product played for the Jazz in the Salt Lake City and Las Vegas Summer leagues before to signing the deal.
Kinsey spent five seasons averaging 17.1 points and 4.9 rebounds at Marshall before being undrafted in 2023.
