The Buffalo Bills are now in the throes of a roster purge in an attempt to address their cap space issues prior to next week’s free agency period. Jordan Poyer, a safety, was among the important defense players that the Bills dismissed on Wednesday afternoon.

There was more from the Bills. Tre’Davious White, De Nyheim Hines, onte Harty, and Siran Neal were cut.

Center Mitch Morse was dismissed by the Bills, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Morse was selected for the 2022 Pro Bowl. Connor McGovern will take Morse’s post at center instead of guard for the 2024 campaign.

After June 1, the cuts will benefit the Bills’ finances by around $36 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. For the forthcoming season, the club will continue be losing money—nearly $4 million.

This offseason, the Bills still have decisions to make about restructuring and cuts. In order to pay for the signing of free players and draft picks in spring, the organization must reduce its cap.
