Star player Jarome Luai of the Penrith Panthers has been officially ruled out of the World Club Challenge match against the Wigan Warriors.
The Sydney Morning Herald was informed by head coach Ivan Cleary that the Samoan international’s injury makes the match at DW Stadium too soon; he expects to be back for NRL round one versus Melbourne Storm later in March.
But because he’s not quite ready, he won’t participate in the World Club Challenge, according to Cleary.
