The San Francisco 49ers selected the 23-year-old in the third round of the NFL Draft in 2022. During his two seasons with the NFC Champions, Davis-Price ran 40 times for 120 yards at an average of three yards per run in seven games.

Davis-Price, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, went to Louisiana State University. He participated in 35 games over the course of his three seasons at LSU (2019–21), logging 379 carries for 1,744 yards and 15 touchdowns. As a freshman, he won the National Championship.

As a junior, he had 211 rushes for 1,003 yards and six rushing touchdowns, which was his most remarkable season. Davis-Price broke the school record for rushing yards in a single game when he carried for 287 yards on 36 carries in a 2021 victory against Florida.

The native of Cleveland participated in 46 games for Kentucky, making 39 starts in a row, and finishing as a consensus First-Team All-American in his senior year.
