Mississippi’s Julian Henry inquires: “Is Joe Milton III a candidate for us to draft? I believe there is promise. Are his fans ignoring him?
In terms of size, speed, and athleticism, Joe Milton III of Tennessee is comparable to Anthony Richardson, a 2023 first-round selection.

Milton has an arm like a cannon and weighs 235 pounds at 6 feet 5 inches. He has a lot of unrealized potential despite being one of the oldest quarterback prospects (23 years old) in the 2024 draft class. Following his 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl MVP victory, he had an outstanding 2023 campaign in which he completed almost 65 percent of his throws for 2,813 yards and 20 touchdowns through the air. In addition, the versatile player scored seven touchdowns on the ground.
He received an invitation to the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, where he performed admirably in drills but not so well in the yearly exhibition. Despite having the highest passing yardage total for the American team (80), he was intercepted twice during the team’s 16-7 loss to the National Team.

Milton may not be disregarded for very long if he accepts an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Because of his extensive collegiate experience and NFL-caliber body, he should be on your radar as a possible Day 2 or 3 selection in April.
Inquiring, “Are the Raiders actively seeking Fields from Chicago?” is Jack Haroutunian from Colorado.
The Chicago Bears’ next move is impossible to predict, and it’s even less clear that the Raiders will make a move.

Many believe the Chicago Bears, who own the first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, will select quarterback Caleb Williams, the winner of the Heisman Trophy, instead of trading for Justin Fields. In that scenario, Fields might be moved by the Raiders to challenge Aidan O’Connell for the starting quarterback position.

Considering that the Silver and Black recently appointed Luke Getsy as offensive coordinator, the move for the Bears quarterback doesn’t seem out of the question. In Chicago, he spent two seasons coaching Fields in the same capacity. Fields surpassed the league record for the most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game (178) in 2022 by throwing for 33 touchdowns during that time. Fields made NFL history that year when he became the third quarterback to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a single season.
“Dominant linemen on offense and/or defense are typically found on championship teams,” inquires Robert Davies from Ontario, Canada. Maxx is already with the Raiders; will any more be made available?
The Raiders may try to match Maxx Crosby with any of the players who are available in free agency and the draft.

With career highs in sacks (14.5), tackles for loss (23), quarterback pressures (50), and total tackles (90), “The Condor” is coming off of his best season in the NFL. Tyree Wilson, a 2023 first-round pick, and Malcolm Koonce, who recorded a career-high seven sacks, are two other young, growing edge rushers for the Raiders.

Having said that, the Silver and Black might try to partner with Wilson, Crosby, and Koonce by adding some star power up the middle. First off, Chris Jones, a two-time All-Pro who just finished his ninth season and third Super Bowl championship with the Kansas City Chiefs, will be a free agency. With a 90.3 pass rushing grade from Pro Football Focus at the end of the 2023 season, he recorded double-digit sacks for the second consecutive year. Leonard Williams, a Pro Bowler who spent last season playing for the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks, and Christian Wilkins of the Miami Dolphins, who just finished with a career-high nine sacks, are two more excellent choices.
With the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Raiders are expected to select defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, according to a number of mock drafts. After accumulating 8.5 tackles for loss during his junior season, the Texas Longhorn was named the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. Murphy was described as a “explosive and extremely powerful for his size” athlete by NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein, who also said that the Raiders should find him “an easy selection in this spot.”
