The Las Vegas Raiders should still have a wide range of elite prospects to choose from if they were to prioritize finding an offensive tackle in the third round of this year’s NFL Draft.
offensive tackling Missouri’s Javon Foster has been one of the most reliable offensive linemen in college football for the last three years, but it’s likely that his name won’t be called until the fourth round. This past season, Foster started all 13 games for Missouri at left tackle, guiding the Tigers to an 11-2 record that included a 14-3 Cotton Bowl victory over Ohio State.
With a field goal or touchdown on 56 of their 58 trips to the red zone, he and Missouri’s offense concluded the 2023 college football season ranked No. 28 in the country in total offense (434.3 yards per game) and third in red-zone offense.
The young offensive tackle was selected to the Associated Press third-team All-American squad and honored on the All-SEC First Team.
Foster, a redshirt senior, started every game for the Tigers in the previous season. In the 2021 season, he also started every game, helping Missouri have one of its best running seasons ever.
Foster is an Honorable Mention All-SEC selection and is ranked third among starting tackles by Pro Football Focus in terms of run blocking. Foster played five years and spent a total of six years at Missouri. For the 2023 season, Foster had the following grades from PFF: 84.8 overall, 86.5 for run blocking, 80.9 for pass blocking, and 91.3 for zone blocking.
