Dennard Since he started coaching in 2012, Wilson has contributed to the improvement of defenses. Wilson’s high level experience playing cornerback and safety in college has given him a special passion for working with defenses to enhance defensive back play. Since 2015, Wilson has served as a designated defensive back coach for a number of clubs, including the Baltimore Ravens this season and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Wilson has coached defensive backs to greater success and multiple awards during his time in the position. Wilson was able to specifically help safety C.J.

In 2022, Gardner-Johnson will have the finest statistical season of his Eagles career. In 12 games, Gardner-Johnson racked up six interceptions—double what he had all previous seasons combined. Wilson’s reputation as a defensive coach was enhanced by these performance surges, which also helped him land the position of defensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans’ severe passing defensive issues date back to 2021, when they were eliminated early from the playoffs. The Titans let up the most passing yards per game in 2022 and 2023, and they didn’t show enough improvement in 2023 to feel optimistic about the upcoming season.

Denico Autry, a defensive end, is another player the Titans can keep to help with their weak pass rush. Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair is another significant re-signing because he becomes a free agent this offseason. By taking these steps, Wilson will be able to focus on strengthening the secondary because the defensive line and linebacker play will already be respectable. A number of youngsters, particularly cornerback Roger McCreary, a second-round selection, have shown promise in the secondary. Thus, if Wilson can support McCreary’s growth, the Titans may

In his twelve-year NFL coaching career, Wilson has served as a member of four different clubs. His capacity to successfully integrate into new teams and support them shows that he can collaborate well with new coaching personnel. With a new coaching staff about to take over in 2024, the Titans’ ability to adapt will be crucial to their success the following season. Wilson has never served as a defensive coordinator before, so he will need to get used to his new position and coaching staff right away. Wilson will have plenty of time to get to know the team and prepare for his official defensive coordinator debut if he is hired in February. Despite the fact that the team’s multiple changes could have a wide range of outcomes for the season, many fans are eager to see a
