Las Vegas — Playing in the Super Bowl may be taxing on players, particularly young ones. Unless you are San Francisco 49ers rookie safety Ji’Ayir Brown. He is not likely to feel any of that. His approach to the Super Bowl is reminiscent of a veteran. Now, many young athletes or rookies have said this, but when you listen to Brown talk about pressure, you completely believe him.

“There’s no pressure. “No pressure,” Brown stated firmly. “I’m confident in whatever I am. All of the life lessons God has taught me, all of the hard work I’ve put in since I was a youngster, have led me to where I’m supposed to be, and I’m supposed to be right here at this time… I believe everything is already written. It’s simply up to me to get out there and experience it. I’m not someone who gets nervous easily. I’m pumped, excited, and ready to go. “No jitters over here.”
Brown has been in the 49ers’ starting lineup since Talanoa Hufanga tore his ACL against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A loss like Hufanga should have created a significant hole in the 49ers’ defense, but Brown has been able to close it. That is due to his attitude, which is plainly confident and fearless. He may be a rookie, but he plays the game like a pro. That is why he has been mostly successful since becoming a starter.
Brown will have to play the game of his life. Going against Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid will need him to do so. It remains to be seen how he will fare, but as things stand, he is on track to make this a reality, thanks to his strong determination.
