Cleveland Browns and Kevin Stefanski are allowing the Callahan family to unite for the Tennessee Titans.
Many fans may not have known the Callahan family name before Brian Callahan was chosen head coach of the Tennessee Titans on January 24. A smaller number of people may be aware that Brian’s father, Bill, has been one of the top Offensive Line coaches for more than a decade.

“The Titans will also hire Callahan’s father, Bill Callahan, as an offensive line coach, along with experienced wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert. “Bill Callahan is one of the NFL’s most respected offensive line coaches.” According to ESPN.com

Kevin Stefanski, the Cleveland Browns’ head coach, recently stated at a news conference, “Organizationally, we realized that’s a unique situation, and we didn’t want to stand in the way of that.”

Many people surrounding the Cleveland Browns and the Tennessee Titans have worried if the Browns would release Bill Callahan from his contract. The terms of Callahan’s deal were not disclosed, although it was said that “they were allowing him out of his contract” to join the Titans’ staff. Interestingly, the two had never worked together before.

Bill Callahan, the Tennessee Titans’ offensive line guru

There are usually two reasons to know an offensive line coach’s name. That person is either excellent or bad at their work. Bill Callahan belongs in column A because he does an excellent job. “Bill Callahan is known as one of the NFL’s top offensive line coaches. The 67-year-old has previously served as the head coach in Oakland and Washington. According to Intelligencer.net

Many consider this previous season to be his greatest yet. At one point, three different starters on the Browns’ offensive line were injured. Before Dawand Jones (4th round draft pick from Georgia) had an injury, Coach Callahan was credited with his progress. When Pro Bowl tackle Jack Conklin suffered a knee injury, Dawand took over as starter.

Joel Bitonio, the starting left guard, said “Coach Callahan has been instrumental for us,” Bitonio stated. “He has helped develop a number of us on the line. We’re grateful for it. He is one of the hardest workers I know. He works hard with us and is an important element of our run game, scheme, and protections.”

What’s next for Brian Callahan and Will Levis?
Brian Callahan has expressed his delight about working with Will Levis. “I can’t wait to get to work with him,” Callahan stated at his introduction press conference. “He’s got a lot of really special physical talents that I’m excited to go see if we can make better.”

Callahan has previously been renowned for his ability to nurture talented quarterbacks. “Callahan has worked with four quarterbacks in his 13-year career, including jobs as an offensive assistant, quarterbacks coach, and offensive coordinator, and each has had 4,000-yard throwing seasons. Veterans like Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, and Derek Carr helped prepare Callahan for the opportunity to join forces with 2020 No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals after he arrived in 2019. All of this is according to ESPN.com.

We’ll see if this family duo can protect the young gunslinger. Will Levis’ rookie season was cut short due to an injury, but he showed promise in his limited playing time.
