Ayling, who joined Middlesbrough on loan from Leeds in the January transfer window, faced Clarke, who began on the left wing for Sunderland.

Harte is a former Leeds player and Clarke’s agent. Clarke is one of Sunderland’s top players and has been in excellent form this season.
The 23-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur winger has 13 goals and four assists in 30 Championship games for Sunderland this season.
Before joining Middlesbrough on loan, Ayling started eight games and made six substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds. The 32-year-old contributed one goal and one assist in those games.
The Englishman has appeared three times in the Championship for Boro.
