Jack Jones is a Money Year Player for the Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders finished with an improved secondary on the Silver and Black defense, which was one lesson learned from the 2023–24 NFL regular season. Jack Jones, who was released by the New England Patriots and signed by the Silver and Black midseason, undoubtedly had an impact on the Raiders’ secondary. Jones had the following grades at the end of the season: 71.6 for Pro Football Focus, 81.7 for run defense, 69.4 for pass rush, and 71.9 for coverage. Jones finished his first season with the Silver and Black with two interceptions and thirty solo tackles in seven games. The 2023–24 NFL regular season’s Weeks 14 and 15 saw him have some of his best performances. In Week 14, Jones’ game-winning 16-yard one-handed pick-six score against the Los Angeles Chargers capped off five combined tackles. On Christmas Day in Week 15, Jones wrapped off his game against the Kansas City Chiefs with five total stops and a 33-yard pick-six score. Our own Hondo, Carpenter Sr., had the opportunity to discuss Jones and why he is a money-year player for the Silver and Black defense on a recent episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast. He also highlighted Antonio Pierce and Patrick Graham and the connections they have with Jones as a player. “I completely agree with Jack Jones. Thanks to Patrick Graham and Antonio Pierce’s guidance, this player performed like an all-pro last season. His bond with Antonio Pierce, which dates back to high school, helped to keep him focused, and Patrick Graham’s leadership was outstanding in his life. Jones hopes to contribute to the Silver and Black defense once more as a cornerback in the upcoming campaign. Click to watch the full Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast episode.
