Maxx Crosby is making the most of the extended offseason in order to rehabilitate. The defensive standout for the Las Vegas Raiders has chosen not to play in the Pro Bowl. Rather, the Houston Texans’ Will Anderson will need to replace him. This can be explained by a very reasonable underlying rationale.

In a short period of time, the Raiders defensive lineman underwent two surgeries. According to Tashan Reed of The Athletic, he recently had surgery on his right hand, which has been bothering him for a significant portion of the season. In addition, he had a significant health disclosure to make regarding the commencement of the team’s season.

According to MEDspiration, Maxx Crosby said that he nearly participated in the Raiders’ 17-game 2023 season despite having a fractured knee. More precisely, his left knee’s bursae was badly broken and disassembled. Despite the infection that appeared to be limb-threatening, he recovered and underwent surgery at the end of the season.

He yet led the Raiders in scoring despite them. In addition to 31 quarterback hits, Crosby recorded 90 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, and 14.5 sacks. These were all sufficient for him to be named to the Pro Bowl. His ability to tolerate discomfort and injuries is even more remarkable given that he is a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year. Although Raiders supporters would have loved to see him in the Pro Bowl, this year’s circumstances prevented that. In any case, Will Anderson of the Texans appears to be a suitable successor.
