Kareem Hunt, a running back for the Cleveland Browns and an upcoming free agent, had surgery to fix a ruptured adductor.

Kareem Hunt just had surgery to repair a ruptured adductor muscle, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. According to the article, Hunt sustained the injury and missed most of the season.

Hunt is not likely to return to Cleveland as he is a free agent. It is difficult to fathom the level of fortitude needed to play with an injury of this magnitude, and Hunt should be commended for persevering during a season in which the Browns could not afford to lose another running back to injury.

Nick Chubb is presently recovering from a major knee injury, and the Browns are hoping to get him back soon. The Browns also saw contributions from Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong during the season, and it is generally believed that the team will actively pursue a running back in either the draft or free agency, or perhaps both.
