The Pittsburgh Steelers have extremely high standards and expectations, and team president Art Rooney II stated on Monday that the team hasn’t been living up to them lately.

Rooney stated that there was “urgency” for the Steelers to return to winning in the playoffs during his season-ending press conference on Monday. This put some pressure on coach Mike Tomlin and the club.

The Steelers have “had enough” of their current problems, according to Rooney, and something has to change.

On January 15, 2017, the Steelers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs for the last time. The squad has since dropped five straight playoff games, losing in the Wild Card round in three of the previous four seasons.

Even while it isn’t exactly a long drought, it is nonetheless unacceptable for a team that didn’t have a winning season since 2003.

The offensive line was the Steelers’ weakest point this season, therefore a critical staff decision is about to be made. In his quest for more postseason success, Rooney may become irritated if the squad makes a mistake on that one.
