According to Kimberly Martin, Brian Callahan, the new coach of the Tennessee Titans, conducted interviews with quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to fill the role of offensive coordinator. Lewis is the third person that Callahan has reportedly been interviewed; the other two were Miami Dolphins running backs coach Eric Studesville and passing game coordinator Eric Holz of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Lewis recently concluded his first season as the quarterbacks coach for the Buccaneers. The two seasons prior, he was Tampa Bay’s assistant wide receivers coach. Before entering coaching, Lewis was a quarterback for a few NFL teams and attended Duke University. The first person on the list without a clear connection to Callahan is him. Though not simultaneously, they were both coaches at UCLA.

The offensive coordinator for the Bucs in 2023, Dave Canales, is not the Carolina Panthers’ head coach. He used Baker Mayfield’s performance to his advantage to get a head coaching position. Lewis could be eligible for a promotion as a result of Mayfield’s accomplishments.

News on the firing of Tim Kelly and Charles London from the Titans coaching staff: Nick Holz, the passing game coordinator for the Jaguars, will interview Brian Callahan for the position of offensive coordinator. Titans will interview Dolphins RB coach Eric Studesville for the position. When will Derrick Henry rejoin the Titans?
