Tim English did not take part in Monday’s Bulldogs match simulation.

Tim English, a key player for the Western Bulldogs, will not participate in contact drills until early in 2024 because of a health issue.

English, 26, was a standout player for the Bulldogs the previous season. As a result of his exploits, he was named an All-Australian blazer for the first time.

He was not, however, part of the match simulation on Monday since the Dogs do not allow him to be in contact exercises.

In the next few weeks, English is anticipated to return to full training in anticipation of this significant year for the West Australian.

English will be a restricted free agent at the end of the season, so his future is sure to be a topic of discussion this year.

English’s choice to stay in the ruck merry-go-round until 2024 is expected to be influenced by his persistent links to a return to Western Australia.

After missing the finals in 2023, the Bulldogs are likewise hoping to make a comeback this year.
