Numerous Georgia Bulldogs have been selected finalists for the NFL Honors Awards as the NFL season draws to a close.

The NFL season is almost over, and the post-season award candidates have been announced. with two former Bulldogs emerging as two-award candidates. The Bulldogs who made the final cut and the honors for which they were nominated are listed below.

The year’s best comeback player is Matthew Stafford.
Following a season-ending injury in 2022, Matthew Stafford made a successful comeback in 2023, throwing for 3,965 yards and 24 touchdowns. The Rams would finish 10-7 and earn a postseason berth thanks to his efforts. The Rams would ultimately fall short against the Lions in a road playoff game, but without the veteran quarterback leading them, they probably would not have advanced as far as they did.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Jalen Carter
Defensive lineman Jalen Carter, one of the several Bulldogs recently drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, had a great rookie season. With 20 tackles and six sacks at the end of the 2023 year, Carter helped lead his club to a postseason berth.
