They could be missing one of their quarterbacks against the 49ers.

According to a statement from the Lions, rookie quarterback Hendon Hooker is uncertain to face the 49ers due to a dental injury. According to the Lions injury report, Hooker did not participate in Friday’s practice. Hooker fully participated in the Lions’ first two practices of the week.
The Detroit Lions need a third quarterback active against the 49ers.
The Lions need a third quarterback available to participate in the NFC Championship Game. The 49ers’ injuries to Brock Purdy and Josh Johnson in last season’s NFC Championship Game prompted the NFL to revise its quarterback rules.
