The Tennessee Titans’ coaching search will include an interview with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn at the team’s facilities. Quinn is one of three coaches scheduled to have in-person interviews this week.

NASHVILLE—Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk and general manager Ran Carthon are narrowing down their options for filling the coaching vacancy left by Mike Vrabel’s departure.

According to various reports, Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will conduct an in-person interview on Wednesday at the team facility.

Quinn began working in the NFL in 2001, as a defensive quality control coach for the San Francisco 49ers. He managed defensive lines for the 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and New York Jets. Quinn also worked as an assistant head coach for the Seattle Seahawks on Pete Carroll’s coaching staff.

Quinn was the Atlanta Falcons’ head coach from 2015 to 2020, and the team finished 43-42. In 2016, the Falcons advanced to the Super Bowl but lost after blowing a 28-3 lead to the New England Patriots, who triumphed in overtime.

This week, the Titans will also conduct in-person interviews with offensive coordinators Thomas Brown of the Carolina Panthers and Brian Callahan of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Quinn is scheduled to conduct on-site interviews with the Washington Commanders and Seahawks this week.

The New York Jets will interview Titans assistant coach Tony Dews.

NASHVILLE— According to a source, Tony Dews, the Tennessee Titans’ tight ends coach, will interview on Monday for an assistant coaching position with the New York Jets.Dews has been teaching the Titans since 2018, first with running backs and progressing to tight ends.

Between 2018 and 2022, Derrick Henry of the Titans led all NFL players in rushing attempts (1,464), yards (7,101), and touchdowns (68). Henry also led the league with 32 games with 100 or more rushing yards. During Dews’ tenure, Henry led the NFL in running twice (2019 and 2020) and was selected for three Pro Bowls. Overall, the Titans were the NFL’s second-best rushing team during those five seasons, averaging 139.9 yards per game.

Before joining the Titans staff, Dew, 53, coached for 20 years at 10 different college programs, including Michigan, West Virginia, Pitt, and Arizona. Dews recently interviewed for a job coaching running backs with the New York Giants, but that position to former New Orleans Saints running backs coach Joel Thomas.
