Following a sad season finale for the Cleveland Browns, it’s easy to lose sight of all the positives.
Joe Flacco gave us a season to remember and a comeback story fit for a movie, Myles Garrett had another fantastic season, and Deshaun Watson showed hints of his previous brilliance.
In addition to providing amazing experiences on the field, at least one Browns player created a lasting memory for a specific fan off the field.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who started the season as the backup quarterback but ended up playing in six games and making three starts, saved the Holidays for one fan who needed a serious pick-me-up. (via Melissa Kilbane on Twitter)
According to the tweet, Thompson-Robinson had no responsibility to sign and give the fan a jersey.
It was not part of an off-field initiative, a special campaign, or anything like.
He did it purely out of goodwill and a desire to help someone in need.
The fact that he hand-delivered the jersey tops off this pure and moving narrative, revealing the true nature of Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
He’ll want to capitalize on the momentum and goodwill he gained throughout his rookie season, both on and off the field, for next year.
While he will undoubtedly be Deshaun Watson’s backup, this year has taught us that he will almost certainly see action at some point throughout the season.
