Former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Zach Piller spoke with 3HL today, saying that Mike Munchak is ready to return to coaching and that he would love to return to Nashville. Muchak was Piller’s offensive line coach with the Titans from 1999 to 2006, his entire tenure with the team.

Munchak was widely regarded as the league’s best offensive line coach before becoming Titans head coach in 2011. He transformed a number of mediocre players into extremely talented players who went on to sign lucrative free agent contracts.

After being fired by the Titans, Munchak went on to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos’ offensive lines. He last coached in the NFL in 2021. If he is interested in returning to coaching, whoever becomes the new coach here should definitely contact him.

The Houston Oilers drafted Munchak in 1982. He spent his entire hall of fame career in Houston. He joined the Oilers’ coaching staff in 1994, after retiring as a player in 1993.
