Alabama tight end Amari Niblack is moving to Austin to be with Isaiah Bond.
Amari Niblack, a tight end, committed to the Longhorns, following the Texas head coach’s announcement on Instagram a few days after he signed Alabama’s top receiver, Isaiah Bond. The gifted tight end made his portal debut announcement on January 14 and quickly made the decision that Texas was the place he wanted to be. Bond, Niblack, and linebacker Kendrick Blackshire have all declared their intention to transfer from Alabama to Texas. Niblack was rated by futballupdate’s transfer site as the top tight end prospect and the 29th overall.
In 2023, Niblack showed himself as Alabama’s most potent tight end receiver, hauling in 20 catches for 327 yards with four scores. Had he stayed in Tuscaloosa, the former four-star and top-100 prospect would have been in line for a significant offensive role for the Crimson Tide the next season. There are still Danny Lewis, Robbie Ouzts, and CJ Dippre in Alabama’s tight end room. Miles Kitselman, a tight end, announced his departure from the team and his move to Tennessee.
