Inter Miami is entering the silly season.
Since joining Major League Soccer in 2020, Miami has been linked to nearly every high-profile player.
From Edison Cavani in 2019 to Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on the roster today, the Herons will always be a club where world-class players want to play.
Messi’s signing with the club last summer made headlines. Not only is his presence in the organization the most effective recruiting tool, but players are willing to take pay cuts to play alongside the legend.
There’s a new name associated with a move to the South Florida club.
Could Miami sign a former Liverpool starlet?
According to AS, Inter Miami was interested in Philippe Coutinho’s services.
However, an MLS beat reporter contacted the club to find out if the rumors were true. Unfortunately for Inter Miami fans, the speculation was unfounded.
Though it would have been exciting to see Coutinho reunite with his former Barcelona teammates, bringing him to the United States would have been a difficult task.
Despite circulating rumors, Miami has already had a busy offseason.
They have already signed Luis Suarez and are in talks to sign coveted free agent wing back Julian Gressel.
Inter Miami still has a month and a half to expand its roster. Though the transfer market is slow, it’s only a matter of time before the men in pink continue to expand.
