Some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans regret selling Morgan Gibbs-White to Nottingham Forest.

According to The Athletic, this is how some Wolves staff feel about Gibbs-White right now.

So, what has been said about Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers? Let us investigate.

What staff at Wolverhampton Wanderers regret about Nottingham Forest
In the summer of 2022, Nottingham Forest signed Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to Sky Sports, Forest paid an initial transfer fee of £25 million for Gibbs-White. The fee may eventually increase to £42.5 million.

The report highlighted Forest’s desperation to sign Gibbs-White. Before agreeing to a deal with Wolves, the Reds had three bids for the youngster turned down.

According to The Athletic, some Wolves staff are still disappointed that Gibbs-White is not currently playing for the club. After all, the 23-year-old midfielder progressed through the club’s youth system before breaking into the first team.

“At Wolves, Gibbs-White is still often used as an example when they want to show what academy players can achieve in the Premier League,” the report said.

“Some at the club regret that he is no longer playing in their old gold shirt, even though the fee they received for him was generous — despite a portion of it being contingent on performance-related extras.”

“The club’s academy staff invested a lot of time and effort in developing Gibbs-White as a player and as a person.” He can be irritable, demanding, and a little high-maintenance. However, it was felt that the effort was well worth it.”

Morgan Gibbs-White plays for Nottingham Forest.

Morgan Gibbs-White is one of Nottingham Forest’s better players in my opinion. I believe the 23-year-old’s importance to the team will only grow.

Last season, the young midfielder made 34 Premier League starts and one substitute appearance for Forest. In those games, he had five goals and eight assists.

Gibbs-White, who has played up front at times this season, has one goal and two assists in 17 Premier League games this season.

Under new manager Nuno, I believe Gibbs-White’s game could improve significantly. The Forest manager previously worked with the midfielder at Wolverhampton Wanderers and has already praised him.
