Following their two-game homestand, the Browns will travel to Houston on Sunday to face the Texans. The Texans offense averages 328.4 passing yards per game at NRG Stadium, where they are 5-2. The Browns are 2-4 and have given up 122 rushing yards per game on the road. The Browns last played in Houston on December 4, 2022, when they defeated the Texans 27-14.

Let’s see what the Texans had to say about their Week 16 game against the Browns this week.

“Myles [Garrett] is one of the league’s top rushers and defensive ends.” Everyone recognizes him as one of the best players. Every year he’s been in the league, he’s been a problem. We certainly have our hands full. How do you deal with him? That is the key for anyone who opposes him. How do you deal with such a great player – run game, pass game? They also do an excellent job of moving him around so that he is not always on the edge. Myles is an exceptional talent – a true generational talent who has accomplished much in the league.”

“First and foremost, he can still throw a really nice deep ball.” All the explosives they had were on display last week. I mean, his motion is so effortless, and he can still sling it. And, obviously, he has all of the world’s experience in terms of operating and running the system, seeing coverages, and all of that. It comes as no surprise to me that he was able to simply slide in. Obviously, he’s had some success at this point in the season, but I’d say his arm is still all there.”

“[Joe] Flacco, a veteran who came in late in the season. You’ve seen his success simply because he’s done it for so long and at such a high level. Joe has won Super Bowls and been in the playoffs for a number of years, playing against some of the best teams in the league up in Baltimore. You can see him come in and immediately impact this team because of his experience. He knows where he wants to take the football. He’s smart, and he’s been a huge help to that team.”

“Their coverage is aggressive. They try to suffocate you. They try to make it so that you don’t have many answers within the confines of the play. They rely heavily on their pass rush, but they’re also talented in coverage. So you don’t have much wiggle room with this defense; it really shows up everywhere. It appears in the pass game as well as the run game. If you want to stay on the field and keep it moving, you have to play some really clean, almost perfect football.”
