A Week 16 matchup between the Browns and Texans pits two of the NFL’s most injured teams, as both teams’ injury reports show a number of players progressing through injury this week, including Houston QB C.J. Stroud.

Another week begins, and the Browns have no new major injury concerns ahead of Week 16. But all eyes are on Joel Bitonio, who left Sunday’s win over the Bears on the third series with a back injury and did not return.

On Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski declared him day-to-day, and while he did not practice on Wednesday, that is not unusual for the veteran.

Stefanski also provided an update on DE Obo Okoronkwo, who has a pectoral injury that could end his season. However, the Browns aren’t ready to say one way or the other what his future status will be. On a positive note, center Ethan Pocic returned to practice on a limited basis, while Denzel Ward participated fully.

The most noteworthy news of the week, however, comes from the Browns’ opponent, as the Texans remain in limbo regarding the availability of rookie phenom C.J. Stroud. He missed Week 15 due to a concussion and is still in the league’s protocols as the week of practice begins. Whether or not Stroud plays will have a significant impact on the game between the two AFC rivals.
