James Morrison of West Bromwich Albion celebrates his opening goal to take the score to 1-0

West Brom are reportedly looking for a replacement for injured striker Josh Maja, who is expected to be out for the next four months.

The Championship club will be looking to sign a new forward when the transfer window opens next month, according to the Mirror UK.

The Baggies will be without Maja for an extended period of time, as well as Matt Phillips, who was injured in their loss to Leicester earlier this month.

Maja suffered an angle ligament injury in West Brom’s loss to Sunderland as a result of a challenge from Dan Ballard and will be out until the end of the Championship season.

Since joining the Hawthorns in the summer, the 24-year-old has been plagued by injuries, appearing in just nine Championship games.

His injury would be a major setback for Carlos Corberán, who would have hoped to rely on the Nigerian striker as the season progressed.

The West Midlands club has been relegated to the Championship since 2020/2021 and is hoping to reclaim their place by the end of the season.
